Hilarious Korean Quote Of The Day

The kids here all have little notebooks that they do their writing in. Almost all of them have cute bunnies and hearts and English quotes, usually about love or friendship, like, "I love the friendship we spend together."

Today, during the part of class where I do nothing (99% of every class) I was looking through a stack of such notebooks and I came across this quote:

"Love is like the measles. We all have to go through it and we take it only once. One never needs to be afraid of catching it a second time. No, we never sicken with love twice. Cupid spends no second arrow on the same heart."

Poor love sick Roundheads. They get rashy.

I think my favourite was on a students notebook. Pictures of strawberries and bubble gum all over it and the statement "Sweet stawberry bubble cum. Happy boy don't worry be happy."

I once came across a student's notebook which informed me that "The secret to learning English is to shout it as loud as you can. Ready? Go!" and you can rest assured the advice was taken to heart by the child (much to my dismay).

Haha, "bubble cum." Nasty.

Flint: That is by far the best I have seen!
Chicken: Shouting (English or otherwise) is the most preferred method of 'learning' in my classes also.

I actually have a picture of the notebook in B&W. :)

No need to post this comment, I just don't have a google account anymore to email you with.

I was debating whether or not to share this with you, but decided it's probably better to be safe.

The past two days, I've received some pretty serious death threats. Extremely detailed and unnerving. The commenters used to link me to youseok all the time but this time they were trying to say I was KRD and that they had my (his) address. I deleted them and just let KRD know about it.

This morning I woke up to another round of comments saying they 'discovered' I was actually you, which you and I both know is a retarded 'theory'. The death threats went from me and KRD to threats against you and your kids.

I'm a big girl and I'll be out of Korea in less than two weeks. The threats didn't bother me because as an adult, I'm able to handle potential threats. KRD can too. I was so sickened when the threats went towards your kids that I had to hold back vomit. I cannot even comprehend how someone could threaten children, even if they are bluffing. It infuriated me. I immediately deleted the blog and the entire google account, though I'm sure it's still cached somehwere on the internets.

I am so incredibly sorry that the words on my blog has brought negative attention to your family. It was never my intention. I am so sick over this. I hope with everything I have that these bastards are bluffing and just trolling.
