Transgender Controversy!

Yikes! Who would have thought a simple picture and biography would have elicited such strong emotions at an elementary school. Yeah. We're still in the stone ages of LBGT understanding and acceptance.
Several of the parents have been spamming everyone with hysterical ramblings about a bi-racial transgender woman who's picture and biography was on display as part of an accepting diversity type thing at the school.
I still can't quite grasp what they are so afraid of. It's just a biography and a picture. Did these people miss the eighties or what? There's a whole sea of gender bending they seem to have slept through. I'm sure had there not been such a furor, 99% of the kids at school wouldn't have even noticed the girl who was born a boy.
I'm not sure if my kids noticed or what they thought, but they are old hands at gender bending, having been fans of Chris Crocker ever since we discovered him thanks to that "Leave Brittany Alone" fiasco. Here's a classic, for those of you who are not too terrified to watch:
